Crafting a Shadowed
Identity
Dune and Dusk needed a brand presence that embodied its Shadow Futurism ethos: dark, edgy, and rooted in cultural fusion. The challenge was to design an identity that felt timeless yet experimental, blending elegance with rebellion.
The Design
Gothic Meets Futurism
The design direction drew inspiration from gothic typography, Victorian flourishes, and clean modern geometry. The logo was designed to feel sharp and enigmatic, with bold contrasts and intricate detailing that hinted at mystery. The color palette leaned into muted darks with metallic accents, evoking a sense of power and subtle luxury.
The Development
Building a Brand World
Beyond the logo, I created a brand system that could live across multiple touchpoints: fashion labels, digital campaigns, and social media. Patterns, type treatments, and visual motifs tied the brand into a coherent, futuristic aesthetic while leaving room for storytelling through photography and motion.
